About this course
In this course, we introduce the 'place' of supply side policies in the specification and course content along with the prerequisite knowledge needed to effectively analyse and evaluate the topic in a way that can maximise both understanding and marks in exam questions.
There is a strong focus on the skills needed for success, such as precise use of language, and synoptic connections to other parts of the course. During the course, we make suggestions for classroom activities and learning resources. This course pairs well with our other Year 12 CPD courses on macroeconomic policies (Teaching Monetary Policy for Year 12 and Teaching Fiscal Policy for Year 12) as well as our Year 13 course on Teaching Competition Policy.

Isobel Dawson
Isobel is an Economics graduate who trained as a Mathematics teacher before becoming and Economics teacher and then leading an Economics department. She is interested in all aspects of Economics pedagogy, but is particularly eager to find effective approaches for students who find studying the subject more challenging.

Ruth has been Subject Lead in Economics at tutor2u for many years after a career of teaching Economics, Business, Politics and Maths in a range of secondary schools. She is a highly experienced A level Economics Examiner, and also teaches undergraduate Economics on a very part-time basis at the University of Oxford. Ruth is passionate about making economics fun, engaging and accessible for teachers and students.
